1 out of 5 stars Disturbing   October 6, 2008
Victoria Lechler (Alberta, Canada)
I guess I am among the few that finds it disturbing to have a serial killer be the "hero"....

4 out of 5 stars A sympathic killer   September 23, 2008
P. Beauchemin (Montréal, Qc)
This show has many qualities. The picture is great, the main characters are sympathic, complex, funny and their psychology is interesting. There are some shortcuts in the scenario that are a bit deceiving in regards to the other aspects of this serie. Even if Dexter is a serial killer, Michael Hall does a great job and we like his character.

Overall, it's a really good serie: 4/5.

5 out of 5 stars Fully deserves each one of its 5 stars   April 14, 2008

You can believe all the superlative comments on the 5 stars-reviews. My brain grew lips of its own to produce a hidden grin of vicious pleasure while watching the episodes of this series. It is to TV series what H.R. Geiger is to visual arts: Not beautiful, definitely gory, not really ugly, but oh so fascinating you just can't stop watching.

5 out of 5 stars Best show not on mainstream   February 29, 2008

One of the best show's I've watched in years. My wife and I started watching and were unable to stop. It keeps you engaged the whole way through. Although not for the faint of heart, I would recomend this for any adult out there.

5 out of 5 stars Best Show on TV!!   January 5, 2008

I bought this show on a whim, because of the price and I had heard that it was pretty good. As soon as I started watching it, it became one of those shows where you have to finish it right away - I think I was done within 2 or 3 days!

The characters and acting on this show are amazing! Michael C. Hall as Dexter is one of the most brilliant characters on TV in the past decade. He makes you believe that he is Dexter - and you actually feel for him - even though he is committing murder after murder!

Another great character is Doakes, the way he treats Dexter is horrible, but the actor is so good at making you despise him that in the end, you also somewhat feel for him as well. The chemistry between him and Dexter is amazing, they play off of eachother so well. They are truly a great pair to watch!

These 13 episodes are some of the most entertaining 50 minutes that are on TV. Everyone should see it, and marvel at the wonder that is DEXTER!
