ExceptionalJanuary 2, 2009 Eric Anderson This was another substantial season of House, tragically cut a bit short by the writers strike. Aside from the price apparently not being adjusted for the shortened season, I really have no complaints.
The final two episodes are as fantastic and emotionally charged as prime time dramas get.
House still going strongSeptember 8, 2008 Jack Blatant(Ontario, Canada) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
As a teacher, I don't work during the summer, which gives me the chance to go nuts when the TV DVD series come out. In general I don't watch my favourite shows during the actual season, because I hate commercials and I love not having to wait for a week to see how things go. I must admit I was worried about the fourth season of one of my favourite shows, because I was dubious about the sound of House's new fellows.
No problems there! House manages to maintain his misanthropy with a new crew, and the way in which their characters are developed even as they are respectively hired and/or fired is thoroughly enjoyable. The new characters are entertaining, although one of them is just a bit too supermodelly for my taste. But what the hell, it is prime-time tv. The season finale two-parter is absolutely unbelievable - good enough to make me break my own rule and watch the season premiere in a couple of weeks. No DVD extra features that particularly stand out, but the episodes themselves stand on their own.
