5 out of 5 stars Love this Child's play re-issue it's long over due,but where's the blu ray?   September 17, 2008

I bought this the day it came out and watched it the same night.Wow what a difference! I had the cheap pathetic standard screen original version on dvd and eventually sold it.This new release other then being long over due was worth it.The widescreen transfer was amazing.I just hope it gets a blu ray release with all the other Chucky movies soon! I was annoyed a movie this popular wasn't available in both formats which means I have to re-buy it.But I can't complain about the reasonable price I paid ($9.99 at best buy) for the dvd.
Watching it again was almost like seeing it for the first time, and the movie has held up well.Of course it helped that the transfer was excellent (for it's age), and the improved sound made it even better. The bonus features were all great! I am happy the remake will be done by the same people who did the original otherwise I would be angry about it being remade. It was good to see new interviews with all the cast, producer & screenwriter etc.I especially liked seeing Alex Vincent since I have wondered what he looks like now.The monster convention could have been longer but it looked like a lot of fun.The best feature of course was Brad Dourif introducing Chucky, and hearing his own personal commentary from the dolls point of view(lol)
