ONE OF THE BEST AB WORKOUTS ON THE MARKETJanuary 6, 2004 LKW(Phoenix, AZ United States) I am a women and I love this video. Years ago a guy in blockbuster video recommended it. I tried it and I was pleasingly surprised. If you're a beginner, then you should definitely start with level one and work your way up. Each level is challenging and effective. Kurt Brungardt is an awesome trainer. He works each section of your abs. No muscle is left out. Doing this workout along with a little change in your eating habit, I assure you, you would be amazed at the results you'll see. I highly recommend this video.
Smart, very smartSeptember 4, 2003 Jeffrey Turco(Ithaca, NY USA) "We're gonna train hard, but we're gonna train smart": Kurt Brungardt delivers on this promise. This video is extremely well thought-through; Kurt spends ample time warming you up and cooling you down--more than the actual workouts, and those are graded in a realistic progression. The one person who didn't give this video five stars probably didn't follow Kurt's advice about not trying to do all the reps when starting out; it's entirely possible to follow the program at one's own pace. Kurt is a lot more saavy than your typical fitness guru; you'll appreciate the thought that went into this tape as much as the abs that come out of it.
This video made my 8 pac!March 16, 2003 I used this video for years, first to rehab a low back injury. I later lost about 8 lbs. and found I had the best abs. Once you memorize the workouts, you can do them even when away from home.
I've added to the workouts and stretching on the video. Also, I'm now doing hanging leg raises and using leg weights. I haven't found another routine that I think is much better.
Watchy movie makey strong belly for you, dudeDecember 15, 2002 Bradley G. Brown(Cookeville) This VHS tape of ab workouts got me prepped for a play in which I had to remove my clothing, and it worked to shape my abs in about 4 or 5 weeks. I already had a head start, but the programs were a great guide and concentrated ab builder. Kurt Brungardt's easy-going demeanor and ultra-sensitive hair cut keep you relaxed as you work that gut off! As long as you concentrate and stay in form during the workouts, you will eject the tape feeling like someone went twenty rounds with your abs with a couple of tennis rackets. But as Kurt said, it will be "that good pain."
Great ab workout but . . .June 28, 2002 Edward(Urbana, IL USA) This tape offers great ab workouts. The beginners is easy enough to do while still being very effective. The advanced takes you to a new plateau. The routines hit the abs from all angles and are more than worth the brief time it takes to do them. From the first workout, you should start feeling the burn in the muscles and know your abs have been worked.
But . . . . The notion that ANY ab exercises will give you chisled abs, a six-pack stomach, or washboard abs is a mistaken notion. One can have great, strong abs but those abs can be covered with a layer of fat. Diet has to be included. Aerobic, fat-burning exercise is a must, also. All the ab workouts in the world will not produce the abs pictured on the tape cover unless you remove the fat.
Buy this tape. Do the routines. But do the dieting, too. The combination will result in the look you want. But remember, until you remove the fat, you'll see little results.
